Before you begin
Ensure that the in System Administrator is set to
True and the necessary access rights are enabled. For more information, go to
NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest
System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise.
You can only delete encounters that do not have any templates, documents, images, or patient items attached to them. You cannot delete an existing encounter that contains patient data. Encounters created through an existing interface with your practice management system cannot be deleted regardless of whether patient data has been added to the encounter.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window.
- On the Encounter History tab, select an encounter, select Encounter Options
, and then select Delete Encounter.
The
NextGen EHR Security Delete Encounter window opens.
Note: If you have pending charges associated with the encounter, a message appears alerting you that you cannot delete an encounter with pending charges.
- Enter your User Name and Password.
- To change the Enterprise or Practice, select the applicable options from each list.
- Select Delete.
NextGen® Enterprise EHR deletes the selected encounter.
