Clinical Tasking
A patient's Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to clinical tasks. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same patient tasks as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns.

Assigning tasks to other users, as well as accepting, declining, or deleting tasks, requires different levels of user rights. Contact your system administrator for your user-specific rights and permissions.
By default, the Clinical Tasking tab displays All tasks. The number of tasks displays in parentheses on the tab and by the All Tasks filter.
From the task list, you can:
- Keep track of all tasks to be completed for the day.
- Assign tasks to other users.
- Accept or reject tasks assigned to you.
- Complete a task.
- Remove or restore a task.
- Reassign tasks assigned to you and accepted by you.
- Receive ePA status notifications and act on some of them.
- Receive eRx refill notifications.
- Receive faxing notifications.
- Receive simple orders notifications.
- Receive notifications for Carequality/Surescripts® patient information requests.
- View the task list for another provider.
- View orders results.
Clinical tasks display the due date, patient name, subject, and description. The task can have a patient attached or display the patient’s information in the Patient Demographics section of the module. You can select any of the column headings in the list of tasks to sort in ascending or descending order. Right-clicking a task provides a menu of the same options as the buttons displayed on the toolbar. You can either select a task and select the required button on the toolbar or right-click a task and select a required option.
Now, by default, double-clicking tasks in the Clinical Tasking tab opens the respective prescription renewal related messages, appointment related messages, communication secured messages, and PP Inbox items. The patient chart also opens.
