Access a Previous Patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR

As you access charts for different patients, the five most recently accessed patients are stored for your current log on session. You can then easily access a previous patient again.

  1. Do one of the following:
    1. To access the Patient Lookup window:
      • From the Main toolbar, select the Patient button, and then select a patient.
      The Patient Lookup window appears.
    2. From the File menu, select New, and then Person.
      The People Lookup window appears.
  2. Select the down arrow button to the right of the Find button.
  3. Select Access Previous Patient from the menu.
    The most recently accessed patients, up to five, are listed in the sub-menu.
  4. Select the desired patient from the sub-menu.
    The chart opens for the previous patient.
