View the NextGen® Document Management Significant Events History

You can view the history of NextGen® Document Management activity for a patient by: Accessing the patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Generating the Significant Events report. Note: You can view the Document Exported event on the Doc Mgmt Sig Event report or right-click an image and select Image Properties. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the toolbar, select Chart, and then search for a patient. For information on searching for a patient, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open the patient chart, and then select the Clinical History/Notes tab. Expand the History section, and then select Document Management. The Details section displays the list of significant events. Generate the Significant Events Report

Access the NextGen® Enterprise PM application to set report filters in the Report Filter: Significant Events window. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the menu, select Reports, and then select General > Significant Events. In Report Filter: Significant Events, set the report filters. Search for Images and Documents

When you search for documents and images inNextGen® Document Management,you can search among the categories, documents types, and fields you previously assigned to each document and image. The search criteria are not case sensitive. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search to open the Image Lookup window. To include images that are not filed to a patient or person, select the Search Non-Person Images checkbox. Search for a patient image by using one or more fields. You must enter at least two letters to perform a search. You can use wildcard characters (*), but do not use a wildcard character as the first character of your search criteria. Note: For accurate search results, you can enter more patient details in the search criteria. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Configure Significant Event Tracking for NextGen® Document Management

The significant events are categorized as enterprise, practice, and system levels. The significant events log entry generates when you perform the following actions: Export a document Import a file Import a directory Automatically import a directory Append a page to a filed document You can view the Significant Event record by generating a Significant Events report in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Significant Events. In System Administrator, select View > Significant Events. The Significant Event Information window opens displaying the list of significant events. Select the significant events related to NextGen® Document Management, and then select OK.
