Add a Task to the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Workflow

You can create tasks for a To-Do List for the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Workflow module in NextGen® Document Management. If the Enable Workflow and the Create Workflow task after document is filed options are activated in the Document Type master file, then each time you select the File button when filing a document, NextGen® Document Management displays the Workflow prompt. When you select Cancel on the To Do form and then select File for the same document, NextGen® Document Management does not display the Workflow prompt again. Open NextGen® Document Management. Search for and open a document. Open the Create Task window by using one of the following methods: On the keyboard, select Ctrl+T. On the viewer toolbar, select the create task button. Right-click the document, and then select Create Task. On the NextGen® Document Management toolbar, select Tasks > Create Task. Optional: In EHR Send To, select the NextGen® Enterprise EHR user or group to whom you want to send the task. Only use

You can create a NextGen® Enterprise EHR task and send it to one or more selected users or workgroups. You can associate the task with a specific patient and attach any of the following items to it: Template NextGen® Enterprise EHR document or image NextGen® Document Management image SAP® Crystal Report® Equipment report Patient Education document HIE document or document view From the New list on the Clinical Tasking tab toolbar, select EHR Task. A blank task template opens on the Workflow window. The template shows your name as the sender, today's date as the sent date, Pending as the status, today as the default due date, and Normal as the priority level. Enter the subject in the box at the top. To add the recipient, select To:. Note: If you leave To: blank while sending the task, a confirmation message appears to assign the task to yourself. Create a NextGen® Enterprise PM Task

You can create a task for NextGen® Enterprise PM related to a chart, user, or encounter. You can send the task to one or more selected users or workgroups. Recipients can view tasks assigned to them from the Worklog Manager window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Practice Workflow User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. From the New list on the Clinical Tasking tab toolbar, select PM Task. The New PM Task window opens, showing the default source and task types, today as the default due date,and Normal as the priority level.
