Create and Send Clinical Tasks

Before you begin

Ensure that you have the Tasks view turned on in NextGen® Mobile.

On the Tasks view, you can create tasks and send them to one or more users or workgroups. You can view and respond to clinical tasks created by NextGen® Enterprise EHR users. The task list includes tasks that are sent directly to you and the tasks that are assigned to your task group.

  1. Open NextGen® Mobile.
    Hubopens.
  2. Select Tasks, and then in Tasks, select the new icon .
  3. To link the task with a patient, in New Task, select the patient image, and then from Patients, search for and select a patient.
    The patient's name is added to the task and the attach icon appears.
  4. To add an attachment, in New Task, select attach , and then in Select Document, select a document.
    The document is attached to the task and an indicator appears on the attach icon .
  5. To select a recipient, select To, in Task Recipients, select a patient from Favorites, and then select Done.
  6. Select subject, due date, and priority, enter the task details in the text box, and then select Send.
    The task is added to the task log of the selected recipients.
  7. Optional: To accept or reject a task, in Tasks, select the task, and then in Task Details, select Accept or Reject.
    If you accept the task, the Complete and Reply option appears.
