Create and Send Clinical Tasks

Before you begin Ensure that you have the Tasks view turned on in NextGen® Mobile. On the Tasks view, you can create tasks and send them to one or more users or workgroups. You can view and respond to clinical tasks created by NextGen® Enterprise EHR users. The task list includes tasks that are sent directly to you and the tasks that are assigned to your task group. Open NextGen® Mobile.Hubopens. Select Tasks, and then in Tasks, select the new icon . To link the task with a patient, in New Task, select the patient image, and then from Patients, search for and select a patient.The patient's name is added to the task and the attach icon appears. To add an attachment, in New Task, select attach , and then in Select Document, select a document. Note: You can attach documents, images, scanned items, and lab orders associated with the patient. Create Tasks from PAQ Items

You can create tasks from a Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) item and send to one or more users, or work groups. When you create a task from a PAQ item, the task is automatically added to the patient and the PAQ item is included as a task attachment. Open NextGen® Mobile.The Hub view opens. Select PAQ, and then select an item from the list.The PAQ item opens. Open PAQ item Select New Task.The New Task window opens. New task view The patient is added to the task and the PAQ item is included as an attachment. To add task recipients, select To, search for and then select the recipients from the Favorites list. Note: You can add one or more users or work groups. If your task includes a lab order as an attachment, you must assign recipients as your delegates in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to view the attachment. Assign NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item

You can assign an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list. A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select + To Do in the toolbar. The New EHR Task window opens. To change the Due Date from today, select the calendar icon, and then select a different date. From the Priority list, select High, Normal (default) , or Low. To add recipients to the task, select Add available next to Assign To. The Select Task Recipients window opens. If you do not select a recipient for the task you are creating, the task assigned to you. To change the Subject from the name of the item type, enter the text in the subject field. You can enter up to 30 characters. To associate a patient with the task, select Add next to Re: Patient to display the Patient Lookup window. Select the patient in the Re: Patient. Assign Tasks to Users and Work Groups

You can create and assign a patient's clinical tasks to other users and work groups. For more information on clinical tasking, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Workflow Module Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. On the Patient Information Card (PIC), select Profile Options and then select New Task from the list. The New EHR Task window opens. To add a recipient or work group, select Add corresponding to Assign to.The Select Task Recipients window opens, where you can select and add recipients or work groups for assigning the task. Task/To Do

You can update the task for a patient using To Do template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. In the Recent Orders panel, select the Task link. The To Do template opens. The Date Due field displays the current system date. To change, select the Date Due field, and select date from the Calendar. The Priority field displays High by default.
