Field	Description
Section preview	Displays concatenation for the selected section.
Linked post section preview	Displays concatenation of the section and the post section if you select the Linked post section check box.
Paragraph preview	Displays the concatenation of all the selected values. If you select static value in the Documentation panel, the static values or any linked values appear in this field.

Configure Concatenation for a Section

The Concatenation section in the Documentation panel enables you to configure content to appear before (pre-text), in the middle (middle-text) or after (post-text) the section value, which concatenates in run-time to provide meaningful procedure documentation. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template. Select the Procedure documentation or Procedure findings option. Select a section from the left pane.The associated descriptions appear in the right grid. Select a row from the right grid.The selected section value appears in the Section field in the Concatenation section. If the section value is linked to the next section value, select Linked post section. The Middle text field becomes available to enter text. Configuration Options Section

The Configuration Options section in the Documentation panel includes the following check boxes to configure default functionality on certain fields and buttons: Default paragraph view to editable Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document If you select the Default paragraph view to editable check box, the system allows you to edit the text concatenated in the paragraph format in the grid on the run-time ASC Procedure Documentation template and the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template. The icon is available to view the information on the functionality of the Default paragraph view to editable check box in run-time. If you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document check box, the system enables you to generate a referral letter along with the procedure document from the Generate Document button at the bottom of the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Verify the Source Template and Field for Shared Fields

Many templates contain fields that are shared from a source template. For shared fields, you must specify the table and field names of the source template, not the table and field names on the target template. After you define a coded results mapping for a source field, all templates that have that source field as a shared field, use the same mapping. You must verify all fields to specify the correct table and field names. Access the template that has the field for which you are creating a coded results mapping. Right-click any blank space on the template. A resulting menu appears. Select Show Field Names. Hover over the field. A tooltip appears displaying the source table and field names separated by a dot. Tooltip Use the displayed table and field names while defining the coded results mapping for the field. Note: In the tooltip, there may be additional text after the field name, separated by a colon. Fields on Test Dates Data Items

Following are the descriptions of the Test Dates fields: Field Description Template Name Enter the name of the template on which the test value is displayed when it is retrieved from the database. Test Name Enter the name of the test that is retrieved from the database. Test Type Enter the type of the test. The valid values are: Order: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Order_table. Lab: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Order (Lab) module. Proc: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Procedure module. The Test Type field in the data set indicates the name of the table from where the data can be retrieved by the stored procedure. Test Date Table Enter the name of the table where the Test Date is stored. This date is displayed on any template when retrieved from the database. Configure Procedure Documentation and Findings Content

In the Documentation panel, you can add the procedure documentation and procedure findings values for sections and sub-sections configured in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. On the Procedure Documentation Config- practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template. Select Procedure documentation or Procedure finding to configure values for a section or sub-section available in the left pane of this panel. If you select the Procedure Findings option, the system opens a list of locations or findings documented for a procedure in the Procedure Findings panel. Based on the selected procedure, the first list can include locations. After you select a location, the second list appears to select a finding. Select a section or sub-section from the left pane. Chief Complaint Options

The chief complaint options for the side, location, and symptom define the concatenation rules for the chief complaint in run time on the dynamic HPI template.
