Print Chart Note

The Print Chart Note setting is used to automate generating a Chart Note at the end of every encounter when coding is submitted to billing. In Ophthalmology, the Chart Note is the full and complete 'master' document. Selecting the Print the chart note when the submit button is clicked on the coding template check box causes a Chart Note to be generated offline automatically when the Submit Code button on the Coding tab template or the Finalize- OPH template is clicked at the end of every encounter. When the Chart Note is generated offline, no preview screen appears. Note: An offline document generator must be set up before documents can be generated offline. General Document Options

The practice level document options are: Option Description Default Histories to "Reviewed no changes" Sets the document detail option to reviewed for all the history sections by default and prints histories as reviewed on the document, unless the following applies: The Include detail in document option is selected in run time and the Reviewed, no changes option is selected for Family, Social, and Past Medical Histories in the History Review template on the Histories template. Disable Chart Note generation If you select this option, the Chart Note document does not launch anywhere in the application. If you clear this option, the application allows for the generation of a Chart Note document normally. Set templates other than the Master document and Chart Note to Offline document generation Sets the document generation offline on the respective templates. By selecting this check box, you can also configure the Generate Document button in the Communication panel to submit the Telephone

Set Up Preferences by Document Type

In the Provider Level Configuration section, the provider name selected in the Four Point Check automatically populates in the Provider field. Access the Documentation Configuration template. To select a different provider name, click the Provider field. In the Document Type field, click to select a value from the resulting list. Select the Consult Note or Referral Letter document type to add personalized information in the Opening statement and Closing statement fields. Document Type on Document Configuration Template Select the preferred elements to display in the generated document. Provider Level Configurations Select the Past Medical History, Family History, and Social History check boxes to include the details entered for these elements on the templates in the generated documents. Document Display Settings

The Document Configuration template enables you to generate a document in run time based on preferred settings. You can configure the document elements at the provider and practice levels, but not the document format. The practice template provides the ability to: Set up general, practice-level options and how information displays on documents for: Orthopedic encounters Vital signs Behavioral Health encounters Set up provider-level content for these document types: Chart Note Consult Note Referral Letter When Chart Note is selected as the default document to print from a patient encounter, the master document is set to generate offline. The practice decides the type of documents to be routed to the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) for sign off. Document Configuration

You can configure the documents that generates after the patient encounters from the Document Config system template. You can also rename the office note according to provider's preference.
