Practice Level Document Configurations

On the Document Configurations practice template, the Practice Level Configurations section enables you to determine how general document options, vital signs, and the Orthopedic and Behavioral Health data appear on the generated documents. General options include opting to generate a master document or Chart Note offline. Offline generation can save the time of the provider that would have been spent waiting for the document to produce a copy in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The master document cannot be disabled. The offline and online functionality is set on the Submit Code button. With the exception of the Preview and Offline buttons on the navigation bar, the master and Chart Note documents are generated together. Provider Level Document Configurations

In the Provider Level Configurations section, you can: Set the document type preferences Load default options for all or selected document types Copy the preferences from one provider to the other provider or all the providers in the practice Set the option to generate the master document online or offline. Access the Document Configuration Practice Template

From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All to see a complete list of practice templates. To access the Document Configuration template, do one of the following: Double-click Document Configuration. Select Document Configuration, and then click OK. Document Configuration

You can configure the documents that generates after the patient encounters from the Document Config system template. You can also rename the office note according to provider's preference. The Document Config system template has the following panels: Document Generation Document Renaming Document Contact Information Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation Automate the Document Generation You can configure the conditions for automatically generating offline or printed documents. Set Up Preferences by Document Type

In the Provider Level Configuration section, the provider name selected in the Four Point Check automatically populates in the Provider field. Access the Documentation Configuration template. To select a different provider name, click the Provider field. In the Document Type field, click to select a value from the resulting list. Select the Consult Note or Referral Letter document type to add personalized information in the Opening statement and Closing statement fields. Document Type on Document Configuration Template Select the preferred elements to display in the generated document. Provider Level Configurations Select the Past Medical History, Family History, and Social History check boxes to include the details entered for these elements on the templates in the generated documents. Note: The Social History Confidential sections are not included in any document. Select from the options to load defaults for all documents or just the selected document type.
