Procedures Configuration

You can build procedure pages and groups in the Common Procedure Configuration practice template. These pages are accessed throughout the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates to add procedures to the patient’s history. You can set default pages based on the rendering provider or practice, and you can also copy procedure pages. The Common Procedure Configuration practice template has the following panels: Procedure Code Configuration PX Group Configuration Default Settings Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends you to start Procedures Configuration from the PX Group Configuration panel. Tasking Configuration

You can setup and maintain all the tasking (both manual and automatic) on the Tasking Configuration practice template. The top grid of the template displays all the built tasks and all the data associated with them. This grid shows both manual tasks and tasks that are sent automatically based on triggers set in specific template fields. Managing Document Generations for Surgery Orders

You can add, update, and delete the document configurations for surgery orders. On the Document Config system template, in the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel, you can configure document generations for surgery orders, based on the surgery location and patient's admit type. You can also update or delete the document configurations. Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel on the Document Config template In the surgery scheduling workflow, you can generate the documents configured for surgery orders on the Surgery Sched and Coordinator templates. Update Document Configurations for Surgery Orders

You can update the configurations of document generations for surgery orders. On the Document Config system template, expand the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel. In the configuration grid, select the configuration to be updated. The configured values appear in the corresponding fields below the grid. To update the value in the following fields below the grid, click the desired field, and select the option from the list. Document Group Surgery Location Admit Type Generation Type Make the desired changes in the other fields. Click Update. The document configuration for the surgery order is updated. Configure Document Generations for Surgery Orders

You can configure document generations for surgery orders based on the surgery location and admit type. On the Document Config system template, expand the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel. Click the blank field for Document Group, and select the document group from the list. The list opens for the Surgery Location field. Select the surgery location from the list. Click the blank field for Admit Type, and select the admit type of the patient from the list. Click the blank field for Document Name, select the document to be generated from the document window, and click OK. Click the blank field for Generation Type, and select the document generation type from the list. To generate an offline document, select Offline. To print the document, select Print. Select one of the following options to define when to generate the document. PAQ Enabled PAQ Disabled Always Click Add. The document generation for the surgery order is configured. Renaming Documents

You can rename the Office Note based on rendering provider and location from the Document Renaming panel of the Document Config system template. The name of provider for the current encounter appears in the Provider field.
