The intake staff can use the Intake template to document a patient's chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders, and various other findings. The intake staff workflow involves documenting the patient encounter on the Intake and Histories templates. The information documented by the intake staff is used by the provider for reference and to proceed with the encounter. Open the Home Page Template You can obtain the patient summary on the Home Page template. OB Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves documenting the patient encounter on the Intake, Gestational Age, Histories, and Education templates. The information documented by the intake staff is reviewed by the provider. When you access the Intake template, select Obstetrics and OB Prenatal Initial from the Specialty and Visit Type fields to display the Initial Prenatal template set. Overview of the Histories Template

You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. You can document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history on the Histories template. Patient's Problem List You can manage a patient's problems. Patient's Medical History The Medical/Surgical/Interim panel enables you to document the medical or surgical history of the patient. Patient's Social History You can document a patient's social history. Patient's Family History You can document the family history of the patient in the Family panel on the Histories template. You can review the patient's medical summary details on the Home Page template and then open the SOAP and Finalize templates. The provider workflow involves the following: Reviewing data documented in the encounter to obtain an overview of the patient's condition, and updating and providing additional information as needed. Documenting problems and various physical examination findings. Documenting the procedures that are performed on a patient. Creating a treatment plan for a patient. Documenting Evaluation and Management (E & M) codes. Patient Tracking in the Provider Workflow You can update the patient tracking details using the Patient Tracking on the Patient Information Card (PIC).
