Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow involves documenting the patient encounter in the Intake and Histories templates. The information documented by the intake staff is used by the provider for reference and to proceed with the encounter. Intake Template Overview of the Histories Template You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. Document the OBGYN Synopsis Template The OBGYN Synopsis template provides the Obstetrics and Gynecology details of female patients. Open the Zika Pregnancy Screening Template You can open the Zika Pregnancy Screening template from the Contagion Risk link. Home Page Template Generate Intake Note You can generate the intake note for a patient using Generate Intake Note on the Intake template. Home Page Template

You can review and document the summary of a patient information in the Home Page template. The Home Page template enables you to view and document patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on. Access the GET Settings Window

On the Intake template select Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Office Visit. To open the GET template, click GET tab. To open the menu, click the icon. Home Page Template

The recommended workflow for the Family Practice specialty is to begin a patient encounter on the Home Page template. If you have set up the Home Page template as the default template, it opens as the first template for a new encounter. Open the Home Page Template

You can obtain the patient summary on the Home Page template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Home Page, and then select OK.The Home Page template opens. Access Home Page

Pediatrics uses the generic Home Page template. The recommended workflow for the Pediatric specialty is to begin a patient encounter on the Home Page template. If you have set Home Page as the default template, it automatically opens as the first template for a new encounter. At any time during the encounter, click the home page icon.
