You can review and document the summary of a patient information in the Home Page template. The Home Page template enables you to view and document patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on. Open the Home Page Template

You can obtain the patient summary on the Home Page template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Home Page, and then select OK.The Home Page template opens. General Office and Virtual Visit Workflow

A general visit consists of office and virtual visits. Note: The instructions provided for office visit in the following sections are also applicable for virtual visits. The general office and virtual visit workflow includes the following: Intake staff workflow provides instructions for nurses or medical assistants on how to use the Intake and Histories templates to document the reasons for visit, medication, allergies, social history, and so on. Provider workflow provides instructions for providers on how to use the SOAP and Finalize templates to document assessment and physical exam details, generate evaluation, management codes, and so on. Checkout staff workflow provides instructions for front desk employees on how to use the Checkout template to view order details and provide necessary documents to patients. Pediatrics uses the generic Home Page template. The recommended workflow for the Pediatric specialty is to begin a patient encounter on the Home Page template. If you have set Home Page as the default template, it automatically opens as the first template for a new encounter. At any time during the encounter, click the home page icon. Set Home Page - ORT as Your Default Template

The recommended workflow for the specialty is to begin a client encounter on the Home Page - ORT template. You can open the home page template for an encounter from the Templates module or set it up as the template that automatically opens for every new visit. From the File menu, select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences template appears. Preferences template Select the Templates tab. Click the down arrow in the Default Template field to select ort_home_page. Set ort_home_page template as default If required, select the option to Open from Work Flow Appts. Viewing Template Links on the Home Page Template

On the Home Page template, you can view and open links to other templates based on the selected specialty. The recommended workflow for a patient encounter is to begin on the Home Page template. If you set up the Home Page template as the default, then the same template automatically opens as the first template for an encounter. You can also open the generic Home Page template from the Templates module. You can review and document the summary of a patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on, on the Home Page template.
