You can view a patient's appointments.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- On the Patient Information Card, select the Patient Tracking button.
Note: Patient Tracking is available only when the patient has an active encounter dated Today. For all other encounters, the Patient Tracking button appears as New Encounter.
The Todays Patient Tracking template opens.
- Select EHR Appointments.
The
Patient Appointments template opens.
The When, Provider, and Location fields contain the current date and time, provider name, and practice location.
- In the View section, select the By Provider option to enable the Add and Search buttons if the permission is granted in the System Administrator application.
The Appointments section displays both past and future appointments. The future appointments section displays appointments with the status Booked and the past appointments section displays appointments with status Kept and No Show.
For appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Status column displays a No Show or Booked status. You can enter the status manually or set to blank.
Note: The patient tracking is optional. The intake staff can proceed with the workflow without documenting the appointment details. If the patient’s status changes, the status is visible on the Inbox. It is generally not necessary to send a task regarding a change in status.
