View a Patient's Appointments

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
  2. Select an encounter dated Today, or create an encounter.
  3. To view a quick summary of the patient tracking records for the visit, on the Patient Information Card (PIC), hover over Patient Tracking.
    The Patient Tracking table appears displaying information on the appointment time, room, status, recorded time, and documenting person.

  4. To view more details of the appointment and update the room and tracking status on the PIC, click Patient Tracking.
    The Todays Patient Tracking template opens displaying the patient tracking data, appointment information, and room and status options to view and update.
  5. On the Todays Patient Tracking template, click EHR Appointments.
    The Patient Appointments template opens.

    The When, Provider, and Location fields contain the current date and time, provider name, and practice location.

  6. In the View section, click the By Provider option to access Add and Search if given privileges to do so in System Administrator.
    The current date and time, status, room, and resource details are displayed.

    The Appointments section displays both past and future appointments. The future appointments section displays appointments with the status Booked and the past appointments section displays appointments with status Kept and No Show.

    For appointments created from NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Status column displays No Show or Booked status in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

    For appointments created from NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the Status can be entered manually or can be set to blank.
