Create an Appointment
NextGen recommends to create and manage appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM, not in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, if you use NextGen® Enterprise PM as your scheduling source. Appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR are not communicated to NextGen® Enterprise PM.
You can create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR only if you have the View by Provider display setting enabled. If you select View by Resource, you cannot create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
You may also create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR if you use a third-party scheduling application instead of NextGen® Enterprise PM.
You can create an appointment in the Appointments tab of the Workflow module. You can create a custom status for the appointment.
