Manage Patient Appointments View at User-Level

You can customize the patient's Future and Past appointments displayed on the Appointments Quick Button in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, select .The My Quick Button Settings window opens. In the Appointments row, select .The future and past appointments view configuration window opens displaying the default values for future and past appointments are 5 and 10, respectively. To view the required number of appointments, select values from Future and Past appointments list. Note: You can set a limit to view the number of patient's Future appointments to 5, 10, or 15 and the number of Past appointments to 0, 5, 10, or 15. Select OK. Patient Appointments

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Appointments Quick Button, you can view five future and 10 past appointments for a selected patient by default. You can view up to 15 future and 15 past appointments based on configuration. The Appointments table provides information on the following: Appointment date and time Status (Kept, Chart Complete, No Show) Provider/Resource name Provider's location Reason for appointment The count appearing on the Appointments button indicates the total number of future appointments scheduled for a patient in the enterprise regardless of configurations. The icon indicates that the patient does not have any scheduled future appointments. If the scheduling source is View by Provider, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the scheduling source is View by Resource, the count indicates only the appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The appointments' count is not available for external practice management systems.

View Patient Appointments

Before you begin You must ensure that you have an active license for NextGen® Enterprise PM. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Appointments Quick Button, you can view patients future and past appointments based on configuration. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Appointments.The Appointments table appears displaying the configuration message, the patient's future and recent past appointments and date and time, status, resource or provider, location and reason columns. When the View by Resource is selected in the Inbox module of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the resource column appears in the Appointments table; similarly, when the View by Provider is selected, the provider column appears. Note: The patient's future appointments appear first on the Appointments table, highlighted in bold text, followed by recent past appointments. View a Patient's Appointments

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select an encounter dated Today, or create an encounter. Note: Patient Tracking is available only when the patient has an active encounter dated Today. For all other encounters, the Patient Tracking button appears as New Encounter. To view a quick summary of the patient tracking records for the visit, on the Patient Information Card (PIC), hover over Patient Tracking.The Patient Tracking table appears displaying information on the appointment time, room, status, recorded time, and documenting person.
