Recent Orders

You can view the orders for the patient using Recent Orders panel. The Recent Orders panel is where you can view and follow orders for the patient. The Recent Orders panel grid is a viewable grid only – you cannot take any action for items that appear in the grid. The panel has links to other templates used to follow and manage orders. View Patient's Immunization Status

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Orders in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the patient's overdue vaccines, that is, vaccine series that are past due, due now, and pending. You can also open the Orders Module for more details on the patient's immunization order history. For more information on immunizations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Immunizations Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Best Practices for Managing Your Immunizations Life Cycle

To create and track your Immunization orders effectively, NextGen® Enterprise EHR Immunizations module provides comprehensive functionality that is based on how you set up Immunizations in File Maintenance and System Administrator. Each practice has its own unique Orders and Immunizations workflow. As you use the Immunizations module, consider your primary patient type, such as pediatric and your overall workflow. For example, immunizations orders flow may begin with your physician conducting an office visit, selecting immunizations, and then passing the administration of immunizations to the clinical staff. To help you process your immunizations more effectively, consider the following best practices for managing your immunizations life cycle: To view the current vaccine schedules to determine which immunizations are due, access the Immunization Schedules (that is Chart, Recommendation, and Registry). Pediatric Patient's Immunizations

You can view the status and schedule of recommended immunizations for pediatric patient. The Peds Immunizations link on the Intake template opens the Immunization - Pediatric template and provides access to the Immunizations module, where you can order new, chart historical, or document excluded immunizations for the patient. Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules

When you access the Immunizations module, you can select either the Chart or the Recommendation schedule. From the Orders Module, select the Immunizations tab. Either the Immunizations or Recommendation Schedule appears. To select another schedule, select either the Chart tab or the Recommendation tab. Note: The Recommendation schedule view is the system default. If you selected the Chart view on the Preferences window, the Chart view appears.
