Manage Immunizations for Well Child

You can view lists of administered vaccines and track pending immunizations in the Immunizations panel on the Pediatric SOAP template. You can also add new vaccine orders for patients and add or review allergy details in the Immunizations panel. Links on the Intake Template

You can open different templates to document the patient details through the links on the Intake template. The Intake template includes the following links: Standing Orders Opens the Office Services template to create or update orders, document details of diagnoses, and bill orders. Adult Immunizations Adds vaccine and allergy details of adult patients. Peds Immunizations Adds vaccine, medication, and allergy details of pediatric patients. My Plan Records the treatment plan of a patient on the My Plan template. Procedures Records the details of procedures performed during the patient encounter. Order Management Updates the applicable order details. Intake Links Note: The links are also available on the Intake and SOAP templates. Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules

When you access the Immunizations module, you can select either the Chart or the Recommendation schedule. From the Orders Module, select the Immunizations tab. Either the Immunizations or Recommendation Schedule appears. To select another schedule, select either the Chart tab or the Recommendation tab. Note: The Recommendation schedule view is the system default. If you selected the Chart view on the Preferences window, the Chart view appears. Viewing Immunizations Schedules and Vaccine Statuses

The Immunizations module enables you to access Immunizations schedules to determine when an immunization is due for a patient. You can also track the immunizations life cycle, including the immunization status. You can view the following schedule types when you access the Immunizations module: Chart Recommendation Registry Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules Viewing Additional Immunization Details on a Schedule The system displays detailed information about Immunizations when you uselect an Immunization status on the Chart view or Recommendation view. Viewing Excluded Vaccine Details You can view details of excluded vaccines by selecting the status column of the vaccine. Viewing Pediatric and Adult Immunizations Display Options You can set the system to display or hide pediatric vaccine recommendations for adult patients from Practice Preferences in File Maintenance. Immunizations

You can view the a record of immunizations orders for a patient using the Immunizations panel. The Immunizations panel is where you can view a record of immunizations orders for a patient, including status, date ordered, sequence number, and date completed. The immunizations data grid is view-only. All Immunizations must be ordered and managed from the Immunizations module. Orders for Immunizations do not appear in the Recent Orders panel. To create and track your Immunization orders effectively, NextGen® Enterprise EHR Immunizations module provides comprehensive functionality that is based on how you set up Immunizations in File Maintenance and System Administrator. Each practice has its own unique Orders and Immunizations workflow. As you use the Immunizations module, consider your primary patient type, such as pediatric and your overall workflow. For example, immunizations orders flow may begin with your physician conducting an office visit, selecting immunizations, and then passing the administration of immunizations to the clinical staff.
