Customize the Initial Tab View in the Orders Module

When you open the Orders module, the Results tab appears by default. You can set up a user preference to display a different tab as the default. For more information on Orders user preferences, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main menu, select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. In the General tab, under the Orders section, in the Initial View list, select one of the following: Results Flowsheet Orders Summary Immun - Chart Immun - Recommendation Immun - Registry Select Apply and then OK. Orders Module Main Tabs

When you access the Order Module window, three tabs appear: Results Displays lab and radiology test results for the current patient. The Results tab is displayed as the initial tab by default. You can set up user preferences to change the initial tab display. Orders Summary View orders for all or selected order types for the current patient. You can change existing orders and place new orders. Immunizations Order and track any vaccines given to a patient. View Patient's Immunization Status

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Orders in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the patient's overdue vaccines, that is, vaccine series that are past due, due now, and pending. You can also open the Orders Module for more details on the patient's immunization order history. For more information on immunizations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Immunizations Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's immunization status, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Immunizations Due.The Immunizations Due table appears displaying a list of the vaccine series names that have the Past Due, Due Now, and Pendin

Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules

When you access the Immunizations module, you can select either the Chart or the Recommendation schedule. From the Orders Module, select the Immunizations tab. Either the Immunizations or Recommendation Schedule appears. To select another schedule, select either the Chart tab or the Recommendation tab. Note: The Recommendation schedule view is the system default. If you selected the Chart view on the Preferences window, the Chart view appears. Open the Orders Module

You can open the Orders module from Top Toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to create and manage your orders . You can also access orders from the applicable templates if you are using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to place orders. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window opens. To open the Orders module, do one of the following: Select Orders on the Quick Buttons panel.
