View and Change AOE Indicators
Indicators are available to let users know whether additional order information (lab or procedures) are required. Add the selected order to the grid for Pending Orders to observe an indicator listed under the AOE column for the order row. Click AOE. If additional information is required, the corresponding (Procedure or Labs) AOE template launches. If no AOEs are indicated, an alert lets the user know that no documentation is required. Click Place Order. If an order has an AOE question unanswered, the corresponding AOE template launches. Note: If you select the To be determined option and click Place Order, the system selects the Save to Module but Don't Send to Interface queue check box. The orders are placed in the Orders module with the status of New and the Performing Entity column remains blank. Access the Procedure AOE Template
On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, highlight a diagnosis. Highlight the required procedure order and click Add to populate it to the Pending Orders. Click AOE to open the Procedure AOE template. My Plan Note: If you do not click AOE and procedures are available with AOE questions, upon clicking Place Order, the Procedure AOE template automatically opens. Ask at Order Entry (AOE) Functionality for Procedures
The Ask at Order Entry (AOE) functionality is built into the My Custom Plan template and requires no additional customization. The provider creates an order that requires AOE questions to be completed, receives the prompt, and enters the appropriate answers on the template. A list of common procedure options (AOEs or preparation instructions) and procedures that require a picklist are configurable. The updated AOE question/answer process is available while placing office procedure orders based on categories. Filter Pending Orders
Open the My Custom Plan template. In the My Plan panel, Pending Orders section, click the View field to filter items in the grid by a selected plan type. If Ask at Order Entry questions apply, select AOE to view the questions. Edit a Procedure
In the Procedure Setup panel, you can edit a procedure in the grid. In the Procedure Setup panel, select a procedure in the grid. The data populates in the corresponding fields above the grid. Make your changes in the applicable fields. Click Update. The modified data updates in the grid. Parent topic: Configure Procedures

Update Visit Types
You can edit visit types. Select the visit type row in the Visit Type Setup grid. The details move into the fields below the grid. Edit any of the fields as necessary. Select Add/Update. Parent topic: Visit Type Setup Panel
