You can edit visit types.
Select the visit type row in the
Visit Type Setup
grid.
The details move into the fields below the grid.
Edit any of the fields as necessary.

Hide Visit Types
You cannot delete visit types, but you can hide them. Select the visit type row in the grid. Uncheck Show in EHR. Select Add/Update. The Show in EHR column shows 'No', and the visit type moves to the bottom of the grid. Parent topic: Visit Type Setup Panel

Re-Order Visit Types
You can put visit types in an order that best suits your organization. Select a visit type row in the Visit Type Setup grid. Select the up or down arrows up and down arrow buttons below the grid to move the visit type to the location you want it in the order. Update Additional Visit Information Categories
You can update the additional visit information categories as needed. Open the Additional Visit Information Config template. Expand the Additional Visit Information Categories panel. Enter a category name in the Category name field. Additional Visit Information Categories panel Select Add. The category name appears in the Category grid. The added category appears in the Category field list of the Additional Visit Information panel. Modify a Custom Visit Type
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Visit Type Configuration window. Select a custom visit type record from the grid, modify the required values, and then click Update. The selected custom visit type record is updated. Parent topic: Configuration of Custom Visit Type

Designate a Visit Type
You can designate if you want a task to fire only on specific visit types. In the Task Visit Types grid, add the visit types you want the task to fire on. Select the Add button to save the visit types to the grid. If no visit types are added to the grid, the system sends that task when needed regardless of the visit type.
