Indicators are available to let users know whether additional order information (lab or procedures) are required.
- Add the selected order to the grid for Pending Orders to observe an indicator listed under the AOE column for the order row.
- Click AOE.
If additional information is required, the corresponding (Procedure or Labs) AOE template launches. If no AOEs are indicated, an alert lets the user know that no documentation is required.
- Click Place Order.
If an order has an AOE question unanswered, the corresponding AOE template launches.
Note: If you select the To be determined option and click Place Order, the system selects the Save to Module but Don't Send to Interface queue check box. The orders are placed in the Orders module with the status of New and the Performing Entity column remains blank. The AOE questions are not available for selection as the performing entity is a prerequisite for the AOE functionality.
