Document SWYC Developmental Milestone by Family Member

The Survey of Well-being of Young Children (SWYC) is a comprehensive screening instrument for children below 5 years of age. You can document development milestones for the family members or caretakers of the child. Before you begin To access the SWYC Milestones templates, you need to select the Use SWYC development screening check box on the Practice Configuration template. If the Use SWYC development screening check box is not selected, you can open the SWYC Milestone Family View template using Templates on the Top Toolbar. For more information on configurations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Practice Configuration Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The SWYC Milestone Family View template is a copy of the SWYC Milestone Full View template. As the SWYC Milestone Family View template is documented by family members or caretakers, you must first change the view of the template to Patient Mode to hide the links in NextGen® Adaptiv

Review Child Development Milestone History

You can review the child development milestone history in the Child Development History tab on the SWYC Milestones Full View template. Document SWYC Developmental Milestones

You can document the Survey of Wellbeing of Children (SWYC)™ developmental milestones for children less than 5 years of age on the SWYC Milestone Full View template. The SWYC developmental milestones are not configurable. You can also add an assessment and submit a procedure code to the Superbill on the SWYC Milestone Full View template, if required. Perform Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers

You can document Autism screening in toddlers. You can document pediatrics screening for Autism in the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) screening tool. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Screening panel, click Child Development History. The Child Dev. Rec template opens. Click the Details link associated with the MCHAT (c) label. The Peds Mchat template opens. Enter the details and select the appropriate option for each screening question. Click OK. The documented M-CHAT data appear in the Screening Tool Results grid. The color of the Details link changes to indicate the information is documented and the Last done field displays the date of the survey. Screening Tool Results If you select the Detailed document option on the Peds Mchat template, the Print button appears under the M-CHAT label. Child Development Milestones

You can document the details for the developmental milestones achieved by children to assess their development. You can open the Child Development Record template through Child Development History on the Screening pane of the Pediatric SOAP template. The template includes 12 distinct age groups that contain up to 17 milestones. You can configure the age groups and milestones on the Peds Development Definitions practice template. When you select a different version of development guidelines, an message appears indicating that changing the questions for the existing milestones, changes the available questions and answers for the patient that must be documented for the encounters. Note: You must configure the SWYC Milestone Full View template on the Practice Configuration template to document a child's development history. Perform Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers Revised Screening

You can document the pediatric revised screening for autism and provide scores to assess the risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the M-CHAT-R screening tool. . You can submit the code to billing. The screening tool includes the billing-related fields to submit the code to Superbill. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Screening panel, click Child Development History. The Child Dev. Rec template opens. Click the Details link associated with the MCHAT-R (c) label. The Peds Mchat - R template opens.
