Document the Additional Findings of the Procedure in the Findings Panel

In the Reason for Visit section, select the applicable procedure to document the finding. To select more reasons for visit, click the Extra button on the Reason for Visit section and then select the Manage reasons for visit option from the menu. The Reason for Visit window opens. Findings Click the field at the bottom of the window to select a reason from the list. Click Add. The Findings section includes the findings that are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Based on the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section, click the appropriate illustration tab ( Upper GI, Lower GI, and Anal/Rectal) to display the corresponding illustration. Each illustration is divided into regions. In the Findings section, select a finding. Click a particular location on the illustration to select a region. The label appears on the selected region in the GET. The selected finding uploads in the grid on the GET, and in the procedure findings grid below the GET. Findi

Add More Details to the Findings

To add any additional details to the findings, click the Add/Edit Comments button. The ASC Phy Procedure comment template opens. ASC Phy Procedure comment In the Comments field, enter any additional information and click Add. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Click Close. The entered comment adds to the end of the concatenated record in the field below the View label. If you select the Default paragraph view to editable check box on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then the My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear in the Documentation panel to add and/or select comments. Sort the Procedure Documentation and Findings Values

In the Documentation panel, you can change the order of the sections, sub-sections, and the right grid values. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. Select Procedure documentation or Procedure findings. To sort a value in the left pane: Select the Enable sort check box. Select a value from the left pane. Click the promote or demote arrow below the left pane and the selected value moves to a new position. Note: If you attempt to sort a section linked to another section, an alert message appears to confirm the changes. You can click the icon to view information on the section order. To sort a value in the right grid: Select a section or sub-section from the left pane. The right grid displays the associated values. Highlight a value in the right grid. Configure a Sub Section

In the Sub Sections panel on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, you can configure sub-sections for the section configured in the Sections panel. You can also add sub-sections to the sub-section configured in this panel. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Sub Sections panel. Click Procedure to open a list of procedures associated with the selected specialty. The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template. Select a procedure to configure sub-sections specific for a procedure. Select any of the following options: Procedure documentation - Select this option to configure sub-sections for the procedure documentation section available in the left pane of the Documentation panel in this practice template. The configured sub-sections also appear on the run-time ASC Procedure Documentation template. The option is selected by default. Procedure Findings - Select this option to configure sub-sections for

Document an ASC Procedure

In the Documentation panel, click Add. The ASC Procedure Documentation template opens. ASC Procedure The Procedure field displays the procedure entered in the Procedure panel. If more than one procedure is entered in the Procedure panel, then the Procedure field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. The Procedure field includes left and right arrows. The left blue arrow is used to navigate to the previous procedure and the right blue arrow is used to navigate to the next procedure. If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then the arrows are not available. By default, the system selects the Procedure documentation option and displays the associated sections in the left pane. Select a section in the left pane. The corresponding list of values appears in the grid, and the navigational tab appears above the left pane. In the Sections panel of the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, you can configure procedure documentation and procedure findings sections that appear in the left pane of the Documentation panel on this practice template. In run time, the configured sections of procedure documentation and procedure findings appear in the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Sections panel. To configure sections for a procedure, click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. The list includes all the procedures configured in the Procedure Config practice template for the selected specialty. Select any of the following options: Procedure documentation - Select this option to configure sections to appear in the left pane of the Documentation panel in this practice template and on the run-time ASC Procedure Documentation template.
