Add More Details to the Findings

To add any additional details to the findings, click the Add/Edit Comments button. The ASC Phy Procedure comment template opens. ASC Phy Procedure comment In the Comments field, enter any additional information and click Add. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Click Close. The entered comment adds to the end of the concatenated record in the field below the View label. If you select the Default paragraph view to editable check box on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then the My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear in the Documentation panel to add and/or select comments. Update Documented Data in the Documentation Panel

In the Documentation panel, select a row in the grid. Click Edit to open the ASC Procedure Documentation template. Make the required changes by clicking any of the sections in the left pane, and then updating the selections in the grid. The selected values update to the field below the View label. Click Save & Close. The modified record updates in the Documentation panel grid. To delete a procedure documentation record, highlight a row in the Documentation panel grid and click Remove. If you want to save the documented values as the default template, click the Quick Save button and enter a default set name for the template. Enter Assessments, Adverse Events and Quick Notes for the Procedure

The ASC Documentation Log template enables you to document patient's assessments, routine quick notes, any adverse events that occurred during the procedure, and the nursing diagnosis and nursing assessments initiated for the patient. This template is configured on the Documentation Log Config practice template. For more information on the configuration of the navigational tabs, entry type, categories/sub-categories, and descriptions on the ASC Documentation Log template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Documentation Log Config Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Enter Medications for the Procedure

The ASC Documentation Log template has a dynamic flow that displays additional content after each selection is made. As the flow progresses, you may need to click on the navigation tabs above the grid to enter additional content. The content for this log is configured on the Documentation Log Config practice template. For more information on the configuration of the navigational tabs, entry type, categories/sub-categories, and descriptions on the ASC Documentation Log template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Documentation Log Config Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Document Equipment Details on the Intra-Procedure Template

On the ASC - IntraProcedure template, navigate to the Equipment panel and click the Add button to open the ASC Equipment template. The Procedure field defaults with the value of the Procedure field on the ASC-Intraprocedure template. To select a different procedure, do one of the following: Click the Procedure field and select a procedure from the list. Click the left blue arrow or right blue arrow to navigate to the previous or next procedure respectively. Note: The Procedure field displays procedures previously documented in the Procedure panel. Select a value for Equipment Type from the pane. The short description of the equipment type appears as a navigation tab above left pane. Document the ASC Phy Procedure Findings Template

In the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template, the Procedure field displays the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section of the Findings panel. The Start navigational tab appears below the Procedure field. This tab displays the sections and the sub-sections in the left pane. The sections and associated sub-sections are configured for a procedure on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Select a section from the left pane. The right grid displays a list of findings associated with the section. Note: A section can include a list of sub-sections configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. You need to select a sub-section in the left pane to display a list of findings associated with the sub-section in the right grid. Select an appropriate finding(s) from the right grid.
