You can configure the concatenation of the dynamic HPI findings.
Navigate to the Findings section of the Dynamic HPI Config practice template.
Click Edit/Create new sentence.
The Dynamic HPI Sentences Config template opens.
Click the Pre Text field to enter the text for a new sentence.
The character limit is one hundred (100)
Click the Information icon to view the functions to enter in the Pre text field.
Click Add Function to select a value from the HPI Functions window.
If you have the Pre Text as "[FNAME] [LNAME] is a [AGE] [GENDER]", the dynamic HPI template displays the patient's name, age, and gender as 'John Smith is a 45 year old male'
In the Include section, select Finding to include a finding in a sentence.
The finding appears after the Pre Text and before the Post Text.
If you want to include a sub-selection finding, select Include Sub-Selection.
Click the Conjunction field to add the and / or value.
The Conjunction field is optional. You only use the Conjunction field with the Multichoice Single selection type.
Click the Post text field to enter text or functions used after the finding.
Do one of the following:
Click Add.
Click Update to save the new changes.
If you are working with a group sentence, click the Group Sentence Structure check box to build sentences. Do one of the following:
To build individual sentences for Group 1, select the following:
Group 1 Pre Text
Include
Conjunction
Group 1 Post Text
To build individual sentences for Group 2, select the following:
Group 2 Pre Text
Include
Conjunction
Group 2 Post Text
To build sentences by combining values from Group 1 and Group 2 by using the middle text, select a value Group 1 Pre Text, Middle text, and Group 2 Post Text fields.
You can include the Finding and Conjunction option to build the sentences. The values in the Group 1 Post Text and Group 2 Pre Text fields are not applicable.
Click Save & Close.
The dynamic HP template displays the concatenated sentences in the lower grid.
