Dynamic HPI Sentence Config Practice Template

The Dynamic HPI Sentence Config template is used to create new sentences and to manage existing ones. There are two types of sentences: simple and group. The Edit/Create new sentence link in the Findings section of the Dynamic HPI Config practice template launches the Dynamic HPI Sentence Config template. The sub-selection option can only be used in a sub-selection selection type. The sub-selection appears after the Pre Text and the Finding . The application does not require you to have the sub finding included in the sentence. The Group Sentence Structure check box enables you to do one of the following: Build individual sentences for Group 1 Build individual sentences for Group 2 Build sentences by combining values from Group 1 and Group 2Figure 1. . Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config Practice Template

The Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config template is designed to prevent you from selecting clinically contradictory terms in the same section or sub-section of a dynamic HPI. For example, you would not want to document a Quality of Mass as tender and non-tender in the same patient encounter. By making these values mutually exclusive, the system prevents the user from accidentally selecting the opposing terminology simultaneously. Any practice can use the Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config template to manually create new, mutually exclusive selections, and modify or remove existing pairs. Contradictions can also be matched automatically by selecting the Automatically match similar contradictions link. The practice template contains two grids: Findings and contradictions: Lists content items and their contradictions within a specific section or sub-section. Dynamic HPI Findings for a Reason

The Dynamic HPI Config practice template enables you to build different findings based on the associated sections for each reason of visit in the Findings section. Findings The Selection Type and Parameter field determine how the findings are presented on the dynamic HPI. The documented value in the Finding Type field determines how the sentence appears in the dynamic HPI template: The mutually exclusive item displays the selected finding as a separate sentence within that section. The multichoice single item enables the user to select multiple findings to be concatenated into a single sentence structure. The multichoice multiple item enables the user to select multiple findings so that each finding has its own sentence structure. Dynamic HPI Sections

You can set up a new section for a reason for visit. The sections are based on the reason, specialty, and provider. The EM Coding Element field enables you to assign Evaluation and Management (EM) coding points to a section on the dynamic HPI, when appropriate. Note: EM coding points are not calculated for Review of Systems (ROS) when the symptoms are entered on the dynamic HPI template. Dynamic HPI Templates
