Correct the Guideline Text for Guidelines Exceeding the Limit

Your can correct the guideline text exceeding the limit to determine the exceed length.

After executing the Guidelines exceeding limits report, the guidelines listed in the Setup data exceeding more than 75 characters section of the report indicate that their guideline or test names have values exceeding 75 characters in length. You can correct the text for guideline or test name on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template, where guideline details are stored in the Intervention/Orders Setup panel.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Select the practice for which guideline data needs to be corrected. Refer to the previously generated Guidelines exceeding limits report for a list of affected data for a specific practice.
  3. Select File > System/Practice Template.
    The System/Practice Template selection window opens.
  4. Select the Practice tab and the option to Show All.
  5. Double-click Care Guidelines Setup to open the Care Guidelines Setup practice template.
  6. Refer to the Guidelines exceeding limit report and locate the guideline records listed in the Setup data exceeding more than 75 characters section in the Intervention/Orders Setup data grid.

  7. In the Intervention/Orders Setup panel and from the data grid, select the guideline or test item that you want to update.
    Details for the guideline/test item appear in the repective fields. These values can be modified.
  8. Update the Guideline/Test name (required) to 75 or fewer characters long and select Update.
    The updated Guideline/Test name (required) appears in the Intervention/Orders Setup data grid for the selected Condition/Reason andGuideline/Test type.
  9. Select Save & Close.
  10. Repeat steps 7 – 9 for each guideline listed for each practice in the Setup data exceeding more than 75 characters section of the Guidelines exceeding limit report.
