ASC - Preprocedure Template

The ASC - Preprocedure template is designed to be used by the pre-procedure nurse, Surgery Coordinator or clinical support staff to document instructions such as patient medication and pre-surgery preparations to be given to the patient prior to their procedure. This information is carried forward to the next encounter. This template is completed on the day of procedure. ASC - Intraprocedure Template

The ASC -Intraprocedure template allows the intra-procedure nurse to review the IV, vital signs, Aldrete score, procedure orders documented by the pre-procedure nurse on the ASC - Preprocedure template. The intra-procedure nurse can document the intra-procedure safe surgery details, procedure equipment details, and add any additional personnel administering the procedure. The Allergies link at the top of the ASC - Intraprocedure template opens the Allergies module that includes the allergy information documented in the Procedure Preadmission visit type, and on the ASC - Intake template in the Procedure visit type. Access the Template Set Associated with Procedure Visit Type

The Procedure visit type of the Ambulatory Surgery specialty enables you to document the patient's procedure and anesthesia details. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, click the All option. Select Home Page from the list of Medical Records templates. Click OK. The Home Page template opens. Click the Specialty list and select Ambulatory Surgery from the list. The list opens to select visit type. Note: If applicable, the rendering providers can configure the default visit specialty. Select Procedure from the list. The Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template opens.
