Vital Signs Monitoring Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The Vital Signs Monitoring panel enables you to document the patient's vital signs, and import vital signs captured by the vital signs interface application. Vital Signs Monitoring On the ASC - Intake template, the nurse documents the baseline set of vitals to start the procedure. The baseline vitals display on all the ASC templates that have Vital Signs Monitoring panel. You can enter additional vital signs records on each of the template to depict the patient condition before, during, and after the procedure. Medications Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The patient's medication details documented on the ASC -Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template appear in the Medications panel of the ASC - Intake template. For information on the Medications module documentation, see Medications Module. The intake staff reviews and makes the necessary changes to the patient's medication details as appropriate on the ASC - Intake template. You can view the patient's active medications and the medications prescribed, modfied, and renewed during the selected encounter in the Medications panel. You can enter additional prescriptions for the patient, and reconcile the medications listed with what medications the patient is actually consuming and how the patient is consuming them. The No medications this encounter check box selection is encounter-based. If you select the No medications this encounter check box for a previous encounter and prescribe medication in a current encounter by selecting the Prescribed Elsewhere check box, then

General Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The General panel enables the nurse to document provider details and scheduled date and time of procedure. This panel includes the Patient check-in time field to enter the time when the patient arrives at ASC, and the Admission time field to enter the time when the patient was taken to the ASC suite. You can click the drop-down arrow to open the Time Entry template and enter the exact time in Hour, Minutes, and Seconds, or you can click the clock next to the time fields to input the current system time. Allergies Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The patient's allergy details documented on the ASC - Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template appear in the Allergies panel of the ASC -Intake template. The intake staff reviews and makes the necessary changes to the patient's allergy information as appropriate on the ASC - Intake template. In the Allergies panel on the Intake template, if the patient reports a new allergy since the last visit, click Add. The Adult Allergies template opens. Adult Allergies Select the applicable check boxes and then select the associated reaction from the corresponding list. Click Save & Close. (Optional) Click the Allergies added today option. If the patient's allergy is not available in the Adult Allergies template, click the Update button in the Allergies panel to open the Allergies module and document the patient's allergies.
