Vital Signs Monitoring Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The Vital Signs Monitoring panel enables you to document the patient's vital signs, and import vital signs captured by the vital signs interface application. Vital Signs Monitoring On the ASC - Intake template, the nurse documents the baseline set of vitals to start the procedure. The baseline vitals display on all the ASC templates that have Vital Signs Monitoring panel. You can enter additional vital signs records on each of the template to depict the patient condition before, during, and after the procedure. General Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The General panel enables the nurse to document provider details and scheduled date and time of procedure. This panel includes the Patient check-in time field to enter the time when the patient arrives at ASC, and the Admission time field to enter the time when the patient was taken to the ASC suite. You can click the drop-down arrow to open the Time Entry template and enter the exact time in Hour, Minutes, and Seconds, or you can click the clock next to the time fields to input the current system time. Document Status of the Pre-Procedure Safe Surgery Checklist Elements

Expand the Pre-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout panel in the ASC - Intake template. To change the status of the timeout element, perform one of the following steps: To document a status of Completed, click a timeout element. To document a status of Not Applicable, double-click the timeout element. To clear a Not Applicable status, click the timeout element with a Not Applicable status. To change the status from Completed to Not Applicable, click the timeout element with a Completed status. The status changes to Not Applicable. Move second statement to List Continue. After documenting the status of the timeout elements, select Timeout completed and documented with all team members present. The system populates the Completed by, Date, and Time fields with current user logged onto the system, today's date, and current system time in the respective fields. Add the Safe Surgery Timeout Elements

The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template enables you to configure baseline safe surgery timeout elements. For more information on the Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Procedure Timeout Configuration Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of practice templates opens.
