Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Postprocedure Template

The Procedure Orders panel displays the procedure orders documented on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates. The clinicians can review the procedure orders and add or modify procedure orders after post-procedure evaluation. Pre-procedures Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The Pre-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout panel is used to document the timeout elements to indicate that information was reviewed prior to transferring the patient to the procedure room, and provide sign-off. The pre-procedure safe surgery timeout elements are configured in the Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template. Update the Status of the Timeout Elements

To change the status of the timeout element, do one of the following: If the status is Completed, Click a timeout element. The status of the timeout element appears as Completed. To clear the status, click the timeout element two times. If the status is Not Applicable, Click a timeout element two times. The status of the timeout element appears as Not Applicable. To clear the status, click the timeout element again. If the status is Completed to Not Applicable, Click the timeout element with the status as Completed. The status of the timeout element changes to Not Applicable. After documenting the status of the timeout elements, select the Timeout completed and documented with all team members present check box. The system populates the Completed by, Date, and Time fields with current user logged onto the system, today's date, and current system time in the respective fields. Add the Safe Surgery Timeout Elements

The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template enables you to configure baseline safe surgery timeout elements. For more information on the Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Procedure Timeout Configuration Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Timeout Configuration. The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template opens with the list of specialties. Procedure Timeout Configuration Select a specialty from the list. Click Panel and select the template. In Timeout element, enter the baseline timeout elements for the panel selected in the Panel field. Click Add. The timeout element appears in the grid. Document Status of the Pre-Procedure Safe Surgery Checklist Elements

Expand the Pre-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout panel in the ASC - Intake template. To change the status of the timeout element, perform one of the following steps: To document a status of Completed, click a timeout element. To document a status of Not Applicable, double-click the timeout element. To clear a Not Applicable status, click the timeout element with a Not Applicable status. To change the status from Completed to Not Applicable, click the timeout element with a Completed status. The status changes to Not Applicable. Move second statement to List Continue. After documenting the status of the timeout elements, select Timeout completed and documented with all team members present. The system populates the Completed by, Date, and Time fields with current user logged onto the system, today's date, and current system time in the respective fields.
