Documenting Referral Orders

You can place or manage orders for referrals of other specialists, locations, therapies, and durable medical equipment (DME) in the Referrals Orders or Referral Management template. When a referral includes sensitive attachments, such as documents, NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Document Management images, and SAP® Crystal Reports®, the referral is marked as sensitive. You can change sensitive attachments by using the Referral Attachments template. Documenting Custom Plans

You can document diagnosis, lab orders, plan details, referrals, medications, and immunization details for a patient using the My Custom Plan template You can document a personalized treatment plan to suit your practice's specific needs. The custom plan functionality is configured as a grid for order sets and replaces the need to manually select a checkbox for each order to be placed. When My Custom Plan is configured, you can perform the following functions: You can add patient's diagnosis, lab, plan details, and referrals on the My Plan panel. You can document the order details and status of the order on the Manage Orders panel. You can add referral, type of plan, and additional details in the Order Options section. You can order any plan type in the Order Set and move them in by selecting the Pending Orders grid. Documenting Diagnostic Studies

You can order a diagnostic study on the Diagnostic Studies template. You can place or manage orders for diagnostic studies on the Diagnostic Studies template in the My Plan tabbed template set. You can order the following diagnostic details for the patient's assessments: Add multiple associate diagnosis to an order. Update the diagnoses ordered for the current visit. Document an Order for Diagnostic Studies You can place a diagnostic study order with Bypass Order Module Processing turned on. My Plan Template Set

You can document the patient's diagnosis, lab orders, plan details, referrals, medications, and immunization details using the My Plan template. You can perform the following actions using different tabs of the My Plan template set: You can save Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) information if advanced imaging order meets the AUC.
