Open the Assessments Tab

You can open the assessment tab using Add or Update Assessment template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template, then in the Assessment/Plan section, select Add Assessments.The Add or Update Assessment template set opens. Optional: From the Intake or SOAP template, select the My Plan, and then select Assesments.The Add or Update Assessment template set opens. You can open the Add or Update Assessment template using the Assessments link in the My Plan template. The Add or Update Assessment template allows you to add and update assessments. You can document your impressions and comments, differential diagnoses, and patient or provider plan details for an assessment using the A/P Details tab. You can update an assessment with the following details: Add or update an assessment in the Today's Assessment grid. Document a health promotion plan for the patient. Document an Assessment

You can filter the grids on the Assessments tab. For example, in the Billing Diagnosis History section, selecting the Show Chronic only checkbox displays diagnoses that are not acute. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. The My Plan window opens. Select the Assessments tab.The Add or Update Assessment template opens. Select the Add common assessment link.The Common assessment window opens based on specialty, gender, and age of the patient. Select an assessment and then select Save & Close.The Today's Assessment grid displays the diagnoses details. If your practice requires a status for the diagnosis, you must select the status. Sorting Assessments

You can update the order of the assessments for a patient in the Reorder Assessments template. The first 12 line items are available for billing, providers may want to ensure that certain assessments are included in the upper 12 rows of the list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. Select the Assessments tab and then select Sort. Reorder Assessments window displaying the existing sort order and new sort order of assessments The Reorder Assessments template opens. In the Existing Sort Order grid, select the row you want to be the first in the list. That selection becomes number 1 in the New Sort Order grid. Continue to select the available assessment rows until you have them in the required order. Optional: If you select a row in error, select Undo Last. To start over, select Undo All. Enter Assessment Plan Details

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Assessment Plan Details template, select the A/P Details tab. To add or change a diagnosis in the Today’s Assessments grid, select Add or Edit to open the Add or Update Assessment template. To change the current working assessment, in the Today's Assessments grid, select the diagnosis being addressed for this encounter. The selected diagnosis appears in the Selected Dx field. It becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates that share the assessment. Enter details manually or use My Phrases or Common Phrases for the impression, differential diagnosis, and patient and provider plans in the respective sections.
