Buttons on the Documentation Panel

You can use the existing buttons to browse within the Documentation panel. The Documentation panel includes the buttons described in the table. Button Description Previous Level Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the first level content. You need to highlight a row in the grid and select the Previous Level button to view the previous level data. Next Level Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the last level content. You need to select a row in the grid and select the Next Level button to view the next level data. In runtime, the configured section and/or subsection values appear in the right grid of the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. Generate Documents on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The following two buttons are available at the bottom of the ASC - Physician Procedure template: Button Function Procedure Letter Select to generate the Asc_Ref_Proc_Phy_proc_letter document for the referring providers as a reference to the procedure performed on the patient. Generate Document Select to generate encounter based document Or, Select the drop-down arrow on the button and select a procedure from the list to generate the procedure based document. The procedure note document includes all the details and the images associated with the selected procedure. Note: The system generates the referral note with the procedure document if you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document checbox in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Configuring Procedure Documentation and Findings

You can configure procedure documentation and procedure findings content in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. The Procedure Documentation Config practice template allows you to configure procedure documentation and findings. Configure Sections for a Procedure

You can configure procedure documentation and procedure findings sections using the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. In runtime, the configured sections of procedure documentation and procedure findings appear in the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Sections panel. To configure sections for a procedure, select Procedure and then select a procedure from the list.The list includes all the procedures configured in the Procedure Config practice template for the selected specialty. Add More Details to the Findings

To add any additional details to the findings, select the Add/Edit Comments button.The ASC Phy Procedure comment template opens. ASC Phy Procedure comment In the Comments field, enter any additional information and select Add. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Select Close.The entered comment adds to the end of the concatenated record in the field below the View label. If you select the Default paragraph view to editable checkbox on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then the My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear in the Documentation panel to add and/or select comments. To add findings on the selected procedure, select the Findings option. Note: The additional findings documented do not display in the Findings

Document the ASC Phy Procedure Findings Template

In the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template, the Procedure field displays the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section of the Findings panel. The Start navigational tab appears below the Procedure field. This tab displays the sections and the sub-sections in the left pane. The sections and associated sub-sections are configured for a procedure on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Select a section from the left pane.The right grid displays a list of findings associated with the section. Note: A section can include a list of sub-sections configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. You need to select a sub-section in the left pane to display a list of findings associated with the sub-section in the right grid. Select an appropriate finding(s) from the right grid. An asterisk (*) appears to the left of the section and the selected finding. If the findings in the right grid are not appropriate for selection: Select custom value in the lis
