Document an ASC Procedure

In the Documentation panel, select Add.The ASC Procedure Documentation template opens. ASC Procedure The Procedure field displays the procedure entered in the Procedure panel. If more than one procedure is entered in the Procedure panel, then the Procedure field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. The Procedure field includes left and right arrows. The left blue arrow is used to go to the previous procedure and the right blue arrow is used to go to the next procedure. If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then the arrows are not available. By default, the system selects the Procedure documentation option and displays the associated sections in the left pane. Select a section in the left pane.The corresponding list of values appears in the grid, and the navigational tab appears above the left pane. Add a New Procedure or Findings

To add a new procedure or finding data, select Add New.The left and the right arrows at the bottom of the ASC Procedure Documentation template are used to go to the previous and the next available procedure details respectively. You can also select the label Entry and select the required entry from the list. Select Save & Close.The documented data appears in the Documentation panel. To delete a procedure documentation record, highlight a row in the Documentation panel grid and select Remove. If you want to save the documented values as the default template, select the Quick Save button and enter a default set name for the template. Document the ASC Phy Procedure Findings Template

In the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template, the Procedure field displays the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section of the Findings panel. The Start navigational tab appears below the Procedure field. This tab displays the sections and the sub-sections in the left pane. The sections and associated sub-sections are configured for a procedure on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Select a section from the left pane.The right grid displays a list of findings associated with the section. Note: A section can include a list of sub-sections configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. You need to select a sub-section in the left pane to display a list of findings associated with the sub-section in the right grid. Select an appropriate finding(s) from the right grid. Configure Sections for a Procedure

You can configure procedure documentation and procedure findings sections using the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. In runtime, the configured sections of procedure documentation and procedure findings appear in the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Sections panel. To configure sections for a procedure, select Procedure and then select a procedure from the list.The list includes all the procedures configured in the Procedure Config practice template for the selected specialty. Open the Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template

You can configure procedure documentation and findings using the Procedure Documentation Config template. The configured content appears in the runtime Documentation panel and Findings panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Buttons on the Documentation Panel

You can use the existing buttons to browse within the Documentation panel. The Documentation panel includes the buttons described in the table. Button Description Previous Level Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the first level content. You need to highlight a row in the grid and select the Previous Level button to view the previous level data. Next Level Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the last level content. You need to select a row in the grid and select the Next Level button to view the next level data. In runtime, the configured section and/or subsection values appear in the right grid of the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates.
