Buttons on the Documentation Panel

Button	Description
Previous Level	Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the first level content. You need to highlight a row in the grid and select the Previous Level button to view the previous level data.
Next Level	Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the last level content. You need to select a row in the grid and select the Next Level button to view the next level data.

Sort the Procedure Documentation and Findings Values

You can change the order of the sections, subsections, and the right grid values using the Documentation panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Select Procedure and select a procedure from the list, and then select Procedure documentation or Procedure findings. To sort a value in the left pane: Select the Enable sort checkbox. Select a value from the left pane. Select promote or demote below the left pane, and the selected value moves to a new position. Note: If you attempt to sort a section linked to another section, an alert message appears to confirm the changes. You can select the information icon to view information on the section order. Add More Details to the Findings

To add any additional details to the findings, select the Add/Edit Comments button.The ASC Phy Procedure comment template opens. ASC Phy Procedure comment In the Comments field, enter any additional information and select Add. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Select Close.The entered comment adds to the end of the concatenated record in the field below the View label. If you select the Default paragraph view to editable checkbox on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then the My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear in the Documentation panel to add and/or select comments. To add findings on the selected procedure, select the Findings option. Note: The additional findings documented do not display in the Findings

Auto Billing Functionality

The Auto Billing button uploads the billing data in the Procedure Billing panel. To turn on the autotomatic billing functionality, the value selected in the Documentation panel and/or the Findings panel must be associated with the procedure diagnosis and billing data such as Proc description, Proc code, Mod 1, Mod 2, Common diagnosis framework reference system, and Diagnosis group in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Note: In the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, if a value entered in the Documentation panel does not include a procedure code, then the system assigns default procedure code in the run-time template. Enter Assessments, Adverse Events, and Quick Notes for the Procedure

The ASC Documentation Log template allows you to document patient's assessments, routine quick notes, any adverse events that occurred during the procedure, and the nursing diagnosis and nursing assessments initiated for the patient. This template is configured on the Documentation Log Config practice template. For more information on the configuration of the navigational tabs, entry type, categories/sub-categories, and descriptions on the ASC Documentation Log template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download Documentation Log Config Practice Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The ASC Documentation Log template has a dynamic flow that displays additional content after each selection. As the flow progresses, you may need to select the navigation tabs above the grid to enter additional content. From the Documentation Log panel, select Add to open the ASC Documentation Log template. Document an ASC Procedure

In the Documentation panel, select Add.The ASC Procedure Documentation template opens. ASC Procedure The Procedure field displays the procedure entered in the Procedure panel. If more than one procedure is entered in the Procedure panel, then the Procedure field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. The Procedure field includes left and right arrows. The left blue arrow is used to go to the previous procedure and the right blue arrow is used to go to the next procedure. If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then the arrows are not available. By default, the system selects the Procedure documentation option and displays the associated sections in the left pane.
