Rescheduling Visits in NextGen Virtual Visits™

To improve the patient experience and simplify scheduling workflows, NextGen Virtual Visits™ recognizes rescheduled visits and communicates with users accordingly. This feature also provides you with more insight into the number of rescheduled virtual visits compared to canceled visits. Note: Email or text message communication options must be turned on in the patient's and provider's virtual visit Notification Settings so that the patient, providers, and guests can receive notifications. Your virtual visits can be rescheduled in NextGen® Enterprise PM as in-person visits. Communication of the change is sent as follows: Patients and guests are notified through email and text message when the virtual visit is rescheduled or canceled. Practice users receive an email communication when a virtual visit is rescheduled. Note: Currently, NextGen Healthcare does not support provider text message notifications for visit confirmations, rescheduling, or cancellations. If you change a patient for

Customize Patient Communications

For each event or appointment type, your practice can customize the communications associated with patient confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling. You can customize the following information based on the type of communication and the method used, such as email or text: Timing of reminder communications (email and SMS: the default is 24 hours prior and 30 minutes prior). Content (email and SMS) Header color and logo (email only) You can work with NextGen Virtual Visits™ to allow text communications and customize your current communications.

Set Up User Notifications

You can configure the application to notify users for certain patient activities. Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. From Administrator - Setup/Access, select User Notifications.The Manage Transaction Notifications for the selected practice page opens. Select Settings next to the options for specific category. Under New Recipient, select one or more personnel or providers. Select from the Location and Provider lists. In the Subject field, enter a subject for the user notifications and then select Add Settings.The updated information appears on the Manage Transaction Notifications page. Select Update Settings and then Finish Settings.

Enabling Notifications

If configured, the Portal option is displayed in the Phone/Email & Notifications section on the Update Patient Information window, and notifications will be sent to patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. Select the Portal check box to send notifications to NextGen® PxP Portal. This check box is available only if the patient is enrolled to use NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: Notification preferences are displayed only if the Display Patient Notification Preferences on the Patient check box is enabled in Practice Preference. Selecting the Opt out check box in the notification preferences disables all notification settings. Preferred Contact and Notification Icons

The fields that display on the Notifications list depend on the Notification Preferences and Contact Methods selected on the Practice Preferences Patient Notifications window. The icons that display in the Contact Information section of the Add/Modify Person Information window indicate how the practice can notify a patient. Patients can be notified through the Patient Portal. There is no icon for Patient Portal notification. When you select the Pat Notification option and set the patient preferences in the Notifications field, the relevant icons appear in the Contact Information section. When you select the EDI Notification option and set the preferences on the EDI Messaging window, the appropriate icons appear in the Contact Information section. Edit Your User Information

Edit your user information within NextGen Virtual Visits™ to keep it accurate and up to date. Within NextGen Virtual Visits™, select main menu icon. Select the Account Account icon button. Select User Information. Select Edit next to the information you want to update. After you complete your updates, select Save. Update an Account Photo You can update your user account by uploading a current photo.
