Risk Factors

You can document the risk factors for tobacco use (TOB), hypertension (HTN), diabetes (DM), and coronary artery disease (CAD) on the Risk Factors Config template. These are not the conditions that the patient is considered to be at high risk for. If you want to indicate that the patient is at high risk for developing a certain condition, you can document such information on the Care Guidelines template. After documenting a risk factor, the client's chart displays an alert indicator.
