Managing Patient Details through Template Header Links

You can manage patient details from the template header links.

Template header links are available on each BH medical record template. You can view important information about the patient, and complete additional details from the template header links.
template header links

The following links are available:

Care Team
You can consolidate the client's care team information to one location. This enables providers to meet Stage 3 Quality Reporting Certification for 2017 by enabling providers to reference a comprehensive and up-to-date list of a patient’s care team members. The list includes patient care team members who are entered throughout NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Members added using the Care Team Members template only appear on the Care Team Members template. For more information on using the Care Team Members template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Care Team User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine.
Incoming Referrals
You can manage incoming referrals from outside agencies, internal referrals, as well as self or family referrals. You can document the type of referral, referral dates, appointments offered and outreach efforts.
Screening Tools
You can view different screening tools that have been completed for the patient as well as access several screening tools to assess or self-assess the client’s behavioral health and status. You can also configure many of these screening tools for meaningful use attestation. Additional tools are also available as external web links; however, the Website Screening Tools are not integrated into NextGen® Enterprise EHR and need to be documented manually. You can select the notepad icon to generate a Screening Tool document that displays a list of screening tools and their interpretations from today's encounter.
Care Guidelines
You can configure care guidelines to manage certain aspects of the patient’s care. The Care Guidelines link displays a red balloon with a corresponding number to indicate how many care guidelines are due. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite.
Risk Factors
You can view the client’s tobacco use (TOB), tobacco cessation (TOC), hypertension (HTN), diabetes (DM) and coronary artery disease (CAD) are risk factors that can be identified by clinicians throughout the NextGen® Enterprise EHR, regardless of their discipline or specialty. You can make informed decisions about your patient’s care using the link that provides visibility into these risk factors. If a risk factor is documented for the patient, the link also includes a red exclamation indicating your patient has one or more risk factors.
