Process Patient Billing Against Locked Encounters

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window appears with the system-related templates. Select the Practice tab and then select All. A list of all the practice templates appears. Select BH - Configuration, and then select OK. The BH - Configuration template opens. Select the Allow billing code submission without document checkbox. Update a Packet Navigation Configuration

Open the BH Foundation Configuration template, and then expand the Packet/Intake Prescreen/Regulatory Items Configuration panel. Select Packet, Intake Prescreen, or Regulatory Category. Select a practice from the list, if applicable. In Program/Category, select a program from the list. Select the corresponding number to modify. Flag Sensitive Encounters

You can set an encounter as sensitive after identifying sensitive information for a patient. In the Sensitive Encounters section, you can select the setting to automatically flag sensitive encounters. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. In the Sensitive Encounters section, select the Enable Sensitive Encounter checkbox. You can configure a sensitive encounter for specific data elements for a patient using the Sensitive Information Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. In the Sensitive Encounters section, select Configure Sensitive Encounter. The Sensitive Encounter Configuration template opens. configuring_sensitive_encounter In Location and Code System, select the value from the list. Enter the description and any additional information for the selected record, and then select Add. The record is added in the data grid. Optional: To import the sensitive codes from Data Share Module (DSM), select Import. The DSM Ind column in the data grid indicates whether the code is imported. Select Save and Close.
