Managing Patient Demographic Information

In addition, you can use the Demographics (BH) template to enroll patients in programs, document COT/treatment adherence, support roles and resources, and the patient's employment details. You can select the Special Assistance checkbox if the patient needs any special care. Selecting the checkbox opens a picklist that you can configure in the BH Foundation Configuration template. After documenting the patient’s demographic information, you can select Generate Document to generate a Demographics document. Alternatively, you can select Save & Close. Access the Patient Demographics Template

You can also access the Patient Demographics template from Demographics links on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine documentation for the specific template. Open an existing patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information, refer to the Person and Patient Lookup in EHR section. Open the Select Template window and select the Demographics tab. Select the Patient Demographics template. For more information on selecting a template, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Templates User Guide for NextGen Enterprise EHR. The Patient Demographics template appears, displaying the selected patient's information. Expand the panels to view the information in them. You can add or edit information in the enabled fields. View Dashboard Template

You can view the dashboard template for the selected patient. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Chart/Recalls/Tasking is set to No, then you cannot access Chart from the NextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions to Chart in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box next to the patient's name. From Chart, select Dashboard. Buttons on the Documentation Panel

You can use the existing buttons to browse within the Documentation panel. The Documentation panel includes the buttons described in the table. Button Description Previous Level Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the first level content. You need to highlight a row in the grid and select the Previous Level button to view the previous level data. Next Level Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the last level content. You need to select a row in the grid and select the Next Level button to view the next level data. Patient Demographics

You can review a selected patient's demographic information in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Patient Demographics template. You can also add or edit the default pharmacy, historical addresses, reminders, emergency contacts, and employment. To update other patient information, use the Modify Patient Information window. To add a patient, use the Add Patient Information window. For more information on person and patient search and to view patient information, refer to the Person and Patient Lookup in EHR and the Person and Patient Information sections.
