Delete NDCs from an NDC Library
Open an
NDC
library.
In the
Filter Criteria
section, select one of the following methods for looking up the NDC you want to delete:
NDC (number)
Description
CPT4
Select the
NDC
or
CPT4
from the list or begin typing the values in the search field.
As you type, the list displays only the matching records.
Continue typing until the list contains only the values you want to delete.
Click the open menu
button, and then click
Delete
.
The following message displays:
You are about to delete a record of this library. Are you sure you want to continue?
Click
Yes
.

Add or Modify a NDC Library
Use the NDC library to create new NDC libraries or modify existing libraries. Refer to the Importing a CSV File into the NDC Library procedure for instructions on how to import NDC codes from a Microsoft Excel® file. In File Maintenance, click Libraries from the List Launcher or the menu bar and then click NDC. The NDC List window opens. From the NDC List window, do one of the following: To add a new item, click Open Menu , and then click New. To modify an item, select the library that you want to open and then click Open Menu or double-click the selection. Note: The library with the green check mark is the default library for the practice. The NDC List Maintenance window opens. To search for an existing NDC code, use the Filter Criteria section and click one of the following options: NDC ID Description CPT4 Enter or modify the NDC information according to the following table. NDC Library
The NDC (National Drug Code) library enables you to create an NDC drug product list to help you manage billing for drugs that are given in the clinic. In addition, the library enables you to define the relationships between NDC and CPT4 codes. NDC is a universal product identifier for human drugs. Each drug product listed is assigned a unique 11-digit, 3-segment number. This number, known as the NDC identifies the labeler/vendor, product, and trade package size. The NDC Library provides the capability to: Have multiple NDCs for a SIM Populate a claim with an NDC from NextGen® Enterprise EHR Import NDCs from the published CMS list Display NDC codes from the NDC library on the Drugs tab of the Service Item Library Maintenance window. Display NDC data lines for an imported charge in Charge Entry on the NDC Data for this Charge window. Delete GPCIs from a GPCI Library
To delete GPCI values, do one of the following: To delete all GPCI values: Open a GCPI library. Select open menu button , and then select Delete. All the columns clear. To delete specific GPCI values: Open a GCPI library. In the Filter Criteria field, enter the numbers of the carrier or locality you want to delete. As you enter, the list displays only the matching records. Continue typing until the list contains only the values you want to delete. Delete RVUs from an RVU Library
Do one of the following: To delete all RVU values: Open an RVU library, select open menu button , and then select Delete. All the columns clear. To delete specific RVU values: Open an RVU library. In the Filter Criteria field, set the search criteria and begin typing the numbers of the CPT4s you want to delete. As you type, the list displays only the matching records. Continue typing until the list contains only the CPT4s you want to delete. When the list contains the CPT4s you want to delete, select the open menu button button, and then select Delete. Set Up Alternate Medicare Billing Q Codes in the NDC Library
In NextGen File Maintenance, select Libraries > NDC. The NDC List window opens. From the list, open the default NDC Library as specified in the Libraries > Practice Preferences. The NDC List Maintenance window opens. Use the Filter Criteria section to search for an existing NDC by ID, Description, or associated CPT4 code. Enter or modify the NDC information. After adding the Medicare Billing code information, select OK. Tip: After entering your Q codes and completing your NDC Library updates, select the Default NDC Library in File Maintenance > Practice Preferences to enable the NDC feature for your practice.
