View 'EDI Upload' Status on Reports

An EDI Upload column is available on the following reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Statement Run Report: Automatically generated when statements are processed. Budget Process Status Report: Automatically generated when budget letters are processed. Statements Report: Manually generated from the Reports > General menu. To view the EDI Upload status for Statements or Budget Letters on the above reports, do the following: Generate the desired report. The report displays on the screen. From the report toolbar, select the Report Filter button. The Report Filter window opens. From the Settings List on the left, select Columns and then select the EDI Upload column. View 'EDI Upload' Status in the Patient Chart

To view the EDI Upload status for an archived Appointment Reminder, Recall or Encounter Collection Letter, do the following: Access the Patient Chart for the desired patient. Select the Clinical History/Notes tab. From the Topics list on the left, select to expand the Letters folder and then selectS either the Appt Reminders folder, the Demand Encounter folder or the Recalls folder. Archived letters for the patient are listed in the Details pane on the right. The EDI Upload column displays one of the following: Y: The letter was uploaded to NextGen EDI. Viewing 'EDI Upload' Status

When creating a statement or letter export file in NextGen® Enterprise PM, if the Upload Export File to NextGenEDI check box is selected, and valid login credentials are entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Upload, then the file automatically uploads to NextGen EDI in real-time as soon as it is created. When an upload is successful, the following occurs in NextGen® Enterprise PM: A message displays indicating the file was uploaded and received by NextGen EDI: Upload to NextGenEDI Successful; [File Name]; [File Size]. A copy of the Statement, Account Collection Letter or Budget Letter is archived in the Account Profile > Notes tab > Statements or Letters folder for each guarantor. A copy of the Appointment Reminder, Recall or Encounter Collection Letter is archived in the Patient Chart > Clinical History/Notes tab > Letters folder for each patient. Uploading Files to NextGen EDI

When using NextGen® EDI services to print and mail statements or letters from export files created in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can do one of the following to send the export files to NextGen EDI: Login to NextGen EDI's website and manually upload a file. Automatically upload a file in real-time from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: To automatically upload export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM, your NextGen EDI login credentials must be entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Uploading. NextGen EDI then provides a Confirmation Report on their website for you to download and use to confirm that a statement or letter file was received and processed. If you upload your files to NextGen EDI in real-time, a message displays in NextGen® Enterprise PM when an upload is successful and the file is received by NextGen EDI. Upload a Statement Export File to NextGen EDI

For detailed information on generating statements, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Billing and Collections Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM . Do one of the following: To export an individual account statement, access the Account Profile and then select the Stmts button on the main toolbar. The Guarantor Statement window opens. To export an individual patient statement, access the Patient Chart and then select the Stmts button on the main toolbar. The Patient Statement window opens. To export batch statements, select the File menu and select Print Forms, and then Statements. The Statement Options window opens. Review the default Statement Options and make modifications, if needed. Select the Update Last Statement Dates check box. Select the Upload Export File to NextGen EDI check box. View an Archived Account Collection Letter

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Enter search criteria to locate the desired account. Select Find. All existing accounts that match the search criteria display in the Account List section. Select Account List, and then double-click the account. The Account Profile window opens for the desired guarantor. Select Notes. In the Folders list, expand the Letters folder, and then select the Demand Account folder. The section on the right displays the Date/Time, Creator, Letter Name, and Description for each archived account collection letter. Select the desired letter, and then double-click to open the letter. The Letter Preview window opens. Note: You cannot print archived letters. Therefore, the Print Dialog and Quick Print fields are not available on the Letter Preview toolbar. When finished viewing, select Close Preview on the toolbar.
