View EDI Upload Status in the Patient Chart

If you upload your files to NextGen® EDI in real time, a message appears in NextGen® Enterprise PM when the upload is successful and the file is received by NextGen® EDI. You can check EDI upload status for archived appointment reminders, recalls, or encounter collection letters in the patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart on the main toolbar, and then search for and select the desired patient. In the Patient Chart window, select the Clinical History/Notes tab. From the Topics list, select to expand the Letters folder and then select either the Appt Reminders folder, the Demand Encounter folder, or the Recalls folder.Archived letters for the patient are listed in the Details pane. The EDI Upload column displays one of the following: Y: The letter is uploaded to NextGen® EDI. N: The letter is not uploaded to NextGen® EDI. If you upload your files to NextGen® EDI in real time, a message appears in NextGen® Enterprise PM when the upload is successful and the file is received by NextGen® EDI. You can check the EDI upload status for archived statements, account collection letters, or budget letters in the Account Profile. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account on the main toolbar, and then search for and select the desired guarantor. In the Account Profile window, select the Notes tab. From the Folders list, do one of the following: Select the Statements folder. Select to expand the Letters folder, and then select either the Budget folder or the Demand Account folder. Archived statements or letters for the guarantor are listed in the Notes pane. The EDI Upload column displays one of the following: Y: The statement or letter is uploaded to NextGen® EDI. For detailed information on generating statements, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Billing and Collections Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM . Do one of the following: To export an individual account statement, access the Account Profile and then select the Stmts button on the main toolbar. The Guarantor Statement window opens. To export an individual patient statement, access the Patient Chart and then select the Stmts button on the main toolbar. The Patient Statement window opens. To export batch statements, select the File menu and select Print Forms, and then Statements. The Statement Options window opens. Review the default Statement Options and make modifications, if needed. Select the Update Last Statement Dates check box. Select the Upload Export File to NextGen EDI check box. Upload a Letter Export File to NextGen® EDI

You can manually upload a letter to export to NextGen® EDI to be printed and mailed. The letters include appointment reminders, recall letters, demand letters, batch encounter collection letters, batch account collection letters, and budget letters. For detailed information on generating appointment reminder and recall letters, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Appointment Scheduling Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM . For information on generating account collection, encounter collection, and budget letters, download the Billing and Collections Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. View 'EDI Upload' Status on Reports

An EDI Upload column is available on the following reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Statement Run Report: Automatically generated when statements are processed. Budget Process Status Report: Automatically generated when budget letters are processed. Statements Report: Manually generated from the Reports > General menu. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Reports Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM . To view the EDI Upload status for Statements or Budget Letters on the above reports, do the following: Generate the desired report. The report displays on the screen. From the report toolbar, select the Report Filter button. The Report Filter window opens. From the Settings List on the left, select Columns and then select the EDI Upload column. Uploading Files to NextGen EDI

When using NextGen® EDI services to print and mail statements or letters from export files created in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can do one of the following to send the export files to NextGen EDI: Login to NextGen EDI's website and manually upload a file. Automatically upload a file in real-time from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: To automatically upload export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM, your NextGen EDI login credentials must be entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Uploading. NextGen EDI then provides a Confirmation Report on their website for you to download and use to confirm that a statement or letter file was received and processed. If you upload your files to NextGen EDI in real-time, a message displays in NextGen® Enterprise PM when an upload is successful and the file is received by NextGen EDI.
