You can manually upload a letter to export to NextGen® EDI to be printed and mailed. The letters include appointment reminders, recall letters, demand letters, batch encounter collection letters, batch account collection letters, and budget letters.

- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Do one of the following:
- To export batch Appointment Reminder letters, select .
The Appointment Reminders window opens.
- To export batch Recall letters, select .
The Recall Letters window opens.
- To export an individual Encounter Collection letter, open the Patient Chart, select the Encounters tab and select the encounter, and then select the Letters button on the main toolbar.
The Demand Letters for [Name] window opens.
- To export batch Encounter Collection letters, select .
The Batch Encounter Collection Letters window opens.
- To export an individual Account Collection letter, open the Account Profile and then select the Letters button on the main toolbar.
The Demand Letters for [Name] window opens.
- To export batch Account Collection letters, select .
The Batch Account Collection Letters window opens.
To export batch Budget letters, select .
The Budget Letters window opens.
- Do one of the following:
- For individual letters, select the desired letter.
- For batch letters, enter Search Criteria, then select Find, and then select the desired accounts or patients.
- Select the Update Letter Dates checkbox. (Batch account collection, encounter collection and budget letters only).
- Select the Upload Export File to NextGen EDI checkbox.
- To create the export file to be sent to NextGen® EDI, select Export.
The Save As window opens.
- Browse to select the desired directory folder and enter a name for the export file, and then select Save.
The export file is created. If the Upload Export File to NextGen EDI checkbox is selected, the file is uploaded and an application message appears.
- To continue, select OK.
An application message appears asking about the correct export of letters.
- To continue, select Yes.
If the export file uploaded to
NextGen® EDI successfully, the following occurs for Account Collection and Budget letters:
- A Letters Exported significant event is recorded in the History folder on the Notes tab of the Account Profile.
- A copy of the letter is archived in the Letters folder on the Notes tab of the Account Profile.
The following occurs for Appointment Reminder, Recall and Encounter Collection letters:
- A Letters Exported significant event is recorded in the History folder on the Clinical History/Notes tab of the Patient Chart.
- A copy of the letter is archived in the Letters folder on the Clinical History/Notes tab of the Patient Chart.
