Viewing 'EDI Upload' Status

When creating a statement or letter export file in NextGen® Enterprise PM, if the Upload Export File to NextGenEDI check box is selected, and valid login credentials are entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Upload, then the file automatically uploads to NextGen EDI in real-time as soon as it is created.

When an upload is successful, the following occurs in NextGen® Enterprise PM:

  • A message displays indicating the file was uploaded and received by NextGen EDI: Upload to NextGenEDI Successful; [File Name]; [File Size].
  • A copy of the Statement, Account Collection Letter or Budget Letter is archived in the Account Profile > Notes tab > Statements or Letters folder for each guarantor.
  • A copy of the Appointment Reminder, Recall or Encounter Collection Letter is archived in the Patient Chart > Clinical History/Notes tab > Letters folder for each patient.
  • The EDI Upload status is updated on the archived statement or letter.
