Associate a Default Letter Type to a Language
The first step is to compose a letter enter in one or more of the supported correspondence languages. Then you can associate the foreign language letters to the default letter type written in English. Access File Maintenance. Select Master Files > Practice and then Letters. The Letters window opens. Select the letter associated with the Default language (English), right-click and then select Associate. The Correspondence Language Letter Association window appears. To associate a letter written in one of the supported correspondence languages to the default letter type, select the check boxes next to the Letter Name, and then select OK. The Letters window appears. Each selected letter type, written in a supported correspondence language, displays with a check mark in the Language column. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can preview and print the letter type in all the languages listed in the Language column. Setting Up the Letters Master File for Supported Correspondence Languages
The application does not automatically create letters in languages other than English. You must create your letter in the desired language and then copy and paste the content into a letter. Setting up the Letters Master File, includes the following steps: Create each letter type in English. This letter will be the Default letter. Create letters in one or more of the supported correspondence languages. Associate letters in a supported correspondence language to the Default Letter type, written in English. Refer to the procedure Associate a Default Letter Type to a Language. On the Letters window, you can perform the following tasks: Create a new letter. Open the Default letter and modify the content of the letter. You CANNOT change the language of the Default letter. Open a letter associated to a default letter type, and then modify the content of the letter or change the associated language. Copy an existing letter. The letter displays in the last row of the table and is named "Copy of

Before you begin Compose a letter in one or more of the supported correspondence languages. Open File Maintenance. From the Master Files section, select Practice, and then select Letters.The Letters window opens. Associate a Letter Type with Multiple Letter Types
You can associate a letter type with multiple letter types that are tagged to different correspondence languages for previewing and printing the letter types in different languages. Note: You must unhide the hidden letter types to associate them with other letters. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > Practice, and then select Letters. The Letters window opens. To associate a letter in the Default language of English to a letter in a different language, select the letter in the default language, right-click and then select Associate. The Correspondence Language Letter Association window opens and displays a list of letters available for association. Note: You can associate only the letter that is tagged to the default correspondence language (English). Select one or more letters to associate to the letter in the default language and then select OK. You can preview and print the letters in the associated foreign languages.
